Theresa Levinger Research Prize<\/strong><\/span><\/h2>

The Strochlitz Institue awards annual research prizes in memory of Theresa Levinger in the amount of \u20aa5,000. The prize, generously sponsored by the Weiss family, the Ish-Shalom family, and the Tzach family, is awarded for master’s theses and doctoral dissertations that address Holocaust memory from psychological, cultural, and social perspectives.<\/span><\/p>

In the year 2024-2025, the Center awarded two prizes for master’s theses and doctoral proposals:<\/span><\/p>

Jovana Cveticanin<\/strong>, doctoral candidate at Ben-Gurion University of the Negev. Dissertation topic: Yugoslavia and the Shoah 1944-1991<\/em> (supervised by Prof. Hanna Yablonka)<\/p>

Rebecca Baum<\/strong>, master’s thesis topic: The story of eight Dutch women who became camp guards in K Herzogenbusch [Vught] and KZ Auschwitz-Birkenau<\/em><\/p>
