Late Voices

Collecting testimonies from Holocaust survivors who have not yet shared their stories

The Strochlitz Institute for Holocaust Research at the University of Haifa is launching the
Late Voices
project and invites Holocaust survivors who have not yet shared their stories to provide filmed testimony.

Who is the project for?

  • Holocaust survivors who have not yet given testimony and whose story has not been documented.
  • Those who were children during the Holocaust and survived in hiding, through flight, and the like, including in the Soviet Union, Spain, Sweden, or other countries.
  • Holocaust survivors who were rescued through the Kindertransport operation, the “Tehran Children,” and so on.
  • Holocaust survivors from North Africa who were children during the Nazi occupation.

The testimonies will be given in filmed interviews (location of the interviewee’s choice), with a graduate student or alumni of the MA program in Holocaust Studies, and will be preserved in the Strochlitz Institute archives for research purposes. Any other use will be made only with the consent of the interviewee.
